GENERAL DESCRIPTION | |
The rotatable log-periodic antenna is a broadband horizontally polarized antenna, designed for medium and long range communications. Thanks to a rotator, any desired direction can be chosen. The radiation pattern is generally consistent over the entire frequency range of the antenna, however the pattern can be tailored to suit requirements. The radiating structure consists of a series of dipoles, mounted on a horizontal boom. The dipoles are fed along the center of the structure. The supporting structure of the antenna can either be a self-supporting tower or a guyed mast. |
